Dr. A. K. M. Abdullah Al-Amin is on the staff of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh as an Associate Professor. Mr. Al-Amin was an Elizabeth Creak Fellow at Harper Adams University in the United Kingdom. He was Former Visiting Scholar at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, United States. Mr. Al-Amin was recognized as “Outstanding Graduate Student 2022” by the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPA). In Bangladesh, Mr. Al-Amin was awarded the “Prime Minister Gold Medal-2014” and “University Prize” for his excellent academic performance at Bachelor level. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor of ‘Agronomy’ Journal, which is the flagship journal of American Society of Agronomy. As part of his role, Mr. Al-Amin focuses on the ‘Precision Conservation and Farming’ section. Mr. Al-Amin is the Founding Director of Hub for Smallholders’ Agri-Tech Economics (HSATE) which is based on the Department of Agricultural Economics at Bangladesh Agricultural University, envisages to guide smallholder farms production economics and farm management related policy decisions with evidence-based suggestions. His research interests encompass agri-tech economics, especially precision agriculture focused on crop robots, economics of cropping and farming systems intensification, technology adoption, climate change adaptation and environmental conservation. He has published several articles in refereed journals and book chapters.
